Producers have gone for the sex sells angle again with this year's intake of housemates.

A former teacher now male porn star, a former LA gang member and a plus size model are among the faces that viewers will get to know over the coming weeks.

Whatever it is, all I can see is that by tomorrow at this time, the porn star will be more famous than the other 15 members now in the house. 

So, how should we look at it as marketeers?

Guessing the newspaper headlines of tomorrow in the UK is easy - Ex Porn Star Enters the Big Brother House - a clever way to attract the attention of the media to get free exposure and free advertising and staying in the loop of people's minds. 

I always say to be a good marketeer all you have to do is step back and look at the things around you and learn from the experts of TV, media and printed magazines. 

I can almost see this decision being made when they chose the ex-porn star in the Big Brother house. 

'What can get us the most ratings this year' thought the producers.

How about an ex-porn star? Bingo!

Ratings for last year's show were not great after it was transferred to Channel 5 but we're sure that interest will be high this year due to the hype.
